Outlander Expeditions presents a photography-supported expedition to Antarctica that is a far cry from Aussie photographer, Frank Hurley’s experience aboard Shackleton’s fateful mission.
Join pro photographer Matt Kemp on a breathtaking journey through the polarscapes of the Antarctic Peninsula as we explore the world’s largest desert in true expedition spirit and a whole lot of luxury.
Fly-sail: Take a short 2-hour flight from Punta Arenas (Chile) and avoid the 2-day sail (each way) across the infamous Drake Passage. Touch down on King George Island and our sea adventure begins…
Aboard our small-group, luxury, ice-breaking vessel, the majestic Magellan Explorer, we sail the waters of the Antarctic Peninsula and enjoy intimate encounters with wildlife species ranging from seals, whales, penguins and sea birds. The White Continent is a photographer’s dream and this expedition will make it a reality.
The expedition is open to anyone including non-photographers. It is a photography-led and supported expedition so you will have access to gear evaluations, purchase guidence, group training sessions, in-the-field support & troubleshooting while in Antarctica, onboard post production workshops, one-to-one sessions. Photography support is accessible if and when you need it .
Participation is optional and 100% free of charge.
This is something that Outlander Expeditions is proud to offer to make your experience more personalised and more enjoyable.
